Another busy build up to Christmas with this years’ hamper campaign.
2019 has been a tough year for many, and whilst demand for support has been up, it’s been a challenge to get the vital donations we need to supply contents for our hampers. Nevertheless, with the support and donations from individuals and local business we again delivered hundreds of hampers this year.
@purefloralwirral hosted an inspiring and well delivered evening of wreath making, raising enough money to buy 200 additional toys towards our hamper campaign.
NEOs volunteers, along with much valued support from Wirral Chamber of Commerce, willing volunteers from DWP and many others, helped to sort, pack and deliver hampers again this year. Thank you to all involved.
We hosted a free family Christmas event at Woodside Ferry. Thanks to the hard work of Mandy, Claire and Variety North West we had a great time. 83 children saw Santa, and were entertained by stilt-walking elves; decorating gingerbread, creating crafts and face painting. The fabulous food was provided by Refreshment Rooms and Cowfish.
56 people enjoyed our 5 course Christmas dinner at Beaconsfield Community House and our doors remained open on Christmas Day, where we hosted a free community Christmas dinner.
