Another busy build up to Christmas with this years’ hamper campaign.
2019 has been a tough year for many, and whilst demand for support has been up, it’s been a challenge to get the vital donations we need to supply contents for our hampers. Nevertheless, with the support and donations from individuals and local business we again delivered hundreds of hampers this year.
I have been on the road trying to understand how engaging with the local community brings real benefits to the lives of those living in deprived areas.
I recently visited Neo Community Cafe in Rock Ferry. Here, I met countless people who described the various activities of the café as a lifeline: volunteers and customers alike.
2018 saw yet another successful campaign to provide Christmas Hampers for hundreds of local families.

I have not written a blog entry in so long, not for not wanting to but for not having the time to stop and reflect on our work or tell anyone about the exciting projects we have coming up, but before I begin to talk about Neo and the work we are doing, I want to talk about the role of a 3rd Sector Community Manager/Worker and how under resourced the 3rd sector is.
